About the Doctor

Dr. Lynn H. Smith, D.D.S

Dr. Lynn H. Smith has been setting the highest standards of excellence in dentistry since 1990 and was recognized as one of Kansas City’s top dentists in 2018 based on patient reviews. She earned her undergraduate degree from Kansas State University and her dental degree from Baylor College of Dentistry (Dallas, TX). Dr. Smith keeps up to date with the constantly evolving field of dentistry through her long term membership in the Great Plains Dental Study Club. She has been married to her husband, Joe, for over 30 years. However, they have known each other even longer having both graduated from Shawnee Mission South High School. They lived in Dallas, Texas for four years while Dr. Smith attended dental school but soon decided to come back to family-friendly Kansas City in 1990 where Dr. Smith began her dental practice. She has two children, Kyle, who is also a graduate of Kansas State; and Nicole, who is a graduate of Texas Christian University. They help keep her connected to her community through their youth involvement in soccer, baseball and dance. Dr. Smith also gives back to the community with her involvement in organizations such as Overland Park Rotary, Kansas Donated Dental Society, and the Church of the Ascension. In her spare time, Dr. Smith enjoys genealogy, yoga, Big XII college sports, traveling, and participating with her book club.

Dr. Nicole Springer, D.D.S

Dr. Springer (previously Dr. Smith) is thrilled to be joining her mother’s practice after growing up in her office. She is   also excited to be back in her hometown of Overland Park after living in Texas for the past  nine years. Upon graduating from Olathe East High School, Nicole went to undergrad at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth (Go Frogs!) where she studied biology, Chemistry and Spanish, Sí, yo hablo español. She then moved to Dallas to study Dentistry at Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry where she graduated with honors in the top 10 of her class and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Honor Society. Nicole loves helping patients feel confident with their smiles and has a perfectionist’s eye. She also values the importance of taking care of their overall oral health in a compassionate, gentle environment. Nicole and her husband, Matt, have a rescue dog named Flynn; and in her free time, Nicole loves spending time with friends, being outside, baking cakes and going to the lake.

Amy has been a dental hygienist since 1999 and has worked for Dr. Smith for five years. When she is not in the office, you can find her taking care of her three sons and her husband, Kent. With her active boys, so much of the family time is spent at sporting events. When they aren’t attending games or practices, they stay busy taking care of their nine acres of land, 14 chickens, one horse and two cats. “I enjoy helping people take care of their teeth and I love working with the staff in our office. They are warm, friendly and professional.”

Havala McCracken has been in the dental business for 19 years.  She started out as a dental assistant and has slowly moved to the front office. She enjoys educating patients “The more you know about your teeth the better you can make good decisions for your mouth!”  She is a born and raised Kansan, a wife of 17 years and has two boys who love baseball!  She enjoys gardening, sports, great food and drink and watching her boys grow.  “I’m always seeking that perfect balance of work and life to ensure personal and professional happiness.”

Paula has been in the dental field on and off since 2004. She followed her husband, Dave all around the states and Europe while he was in the military for 22 years.  Once Dave retired from the military they moved back to KC to be closer to family.
Dave and Paula have been blissfully married since 1992.  They have two young adult daughters that always keep them on their toes.
Paula loves kids!  She is just a big kid too! She really loves our patients and loves keeping them comfortable throughout the whole process. 
Outside of work, Paula loves the lake, hiking or anything with the outdoors, traveling, crafting, photography, spending time with her family and her furry family members.
